Elisabeth Merson is one of our neurology and pain management Physician Assistants. Graduating from New York University with a degree in Pre-medicine and English Literature, she finished her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College of Health Sciences, where she served as class representative. Prior to starting PA school, she also spent time assisting in research on ground-breaking MRI machines and worked as a pediatric urgent care medical assistant for over 3 years. She has a special interest in headache medicine and performs Botox injections, nerve blocks and trigger point injections. She also works in inpatient internal medicine at a large academic hospital in New York City, where she has a special interest in medical humanities, and where she won Physician Assistant of the year in 2016. Her expertise in multiple branches of medicine and focus on the humane aspect of medicine and dealing with patients helps her to provide patients with a multi-disciplinary treatment approach which includes conservative treatment, medical treatment, interventional treatment, and counseling.
