Roza Khalilova is one of our neurology and pain management Physician Assistants. She has an extensive healthcare background, originally graduating from medical college in the USSR and working as a feldsher (similar to a Physician Assistant) there. She also worked performing emergency home visits, and studied in medical school for 5 years. She came to the US in 1989 – in the United States, PA Khalilova worked as a medical assistant and in home care until earning her PA degree at St. John’s University. She then went on to work in primary care and dermatology for 12 years, managing and treating acute and chronic health problems, and performing biopsies of suspicious lesions. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Farsi, and brings her unique mix of medical knowledge to our neurology and pain management patients.
